AspiraFlow MVP - Phase 1 March 2025

The first prototype of AspiraFlow was a lean MVP focused on one core problem: helping founders clearly understand their runway. It combined three simple features:

  1. Cash Flow Dashboard – a clear view of money in vs. money out.

  2. Expense Tracker – logging and categorizing spending to spot savings.

  3. Forecast Tool – projecting runway and future cash needs based on burn and revenue.

The goal was simplicity and clarity—giving non-financial founders an easy alternative to complex spreadsheets or heavy software. This prototype validated the need for a tool that makes managing startup finances more accessible.

Aspira - Phase 2 April 2025

In Phase 2, I decided to narrow the scope and focus the product on what founders valued most: cash flow forecasting. Instead of building multiple features at once, the tool concentrated on helping startups project runway and model financial scenarios with clarity.

Building on those forecasts, I introduced a local services marketplace, giving founders a way to take action—whether that meant finding accountants, consultants, or other professionals to manage costs and extend runway.

As part of this evolution, I rebranded the product from AspiraFlow to simply Aspira, reflecting a broader vision: a platform that not only forecasts finances but also connects startups with the support they need to grow.

Aspira - Phase 3 September 2025

After gathering survey feedback, I chose to iterate again and step back to focus on solving simpler, more pressing problems. Rather than expanding features, I reflected on my own struggles to find funding for my idea and my past experience helping disadvantaged groups access financing.

From this reflection, I decided to broaden the focus beyond startups to also include freelancers and solopreneurs. These groups, alongside early-stage founders, are often the most vulnerable to financial uncertainty and lack of accessible funding options.

This phase marked a shift in perspective: instead of just building financial tools, I began rethinking how Aspira could empower those who are most at risk—making access to funding and financial clarity more inclusive and achievable.
